How to turn the In&box on and off?

Turning the In&box on and off

With a double-click on the central button

The central button of the In&box allows you to turn the In&box on and off without removing it from your vest. You simply need to perform a quick double-click on the central button of the In&box.

Use the pad of your thumb or index finger, as you would with a computer mouse.
Do not use your nail to perform the double-click.

With the app (remote ON/OFF)

You can turn the In&box on or off directly from the My In&box mobile app!

To activate this feature, please follow these instructions:

  • Make sure your mobile app and the In&box are up to date.

  • Turn on the In&box for the first time via the central button on the box.

  • Open the My In&box app, log in to your account, and pair the In&box. Go to the “Settings” tab then “App Preferences.”

  • Activate the “Remote ON/OFF” feature.

  • You can then turn your In&box on and off directly from the app!

Please make sure to always follow these steps when you want to turn the In&box on or off via the app:

  1. Turn on the In&box using the central button.

  2. Turn off the In&box via the app.

  3. Turn the In&box back on via the app.

Note:

  • If you have activated the “In&box Status” notifications, when the In&box is put to sleep via the button in the app. You can reactivate them when you turn the In&box back on.
  • If the In&box was turned off via the central button, the side button, or because the battery is completely discharged, you will not be able to turn it back on via the mobile app.
  • For the ON/OFF button to work, the In&box must not be updating and must not be in the process of synchronizing.
Apple Watch case: only the ON button is available (not the OFF button).

 

In&box sleep states

When the In&box detects an immobilization of more than 2 minutes, it automatically switches to sleep mode. There is therefore no need to think about turning it on or off: it reactivates automatically at the slightest movement.

However, make sure to leave it on a perfectly stable surface to avoid unintended wake-ups.
Note that this sleep mode causes battery consumption, unlike the complete shutdown performed by double-clicking the central button of the In&box.

Note: Be sure to turn off the In&box during any type of transport when you are not using the airbag system (boat, car, top case, etc.) or when it is not worn for several days in a row (for example, a week). If the In&box has a side latch, please set it to "OFF" if you do not use the box for several weeks.
