In&box Battery Life
The In&box battery has an approximate battery life of 30 hours of continuous use. This corresponds to an approximate battery life of one week with normal use, that is, about 2 hours of use per day and "automatic standby" mode for the rest of the time. We recommend turning off the In&box with a double click on the central button (for In&box units equipped with a side On/Off latch, also make sure to set it to "Off") when you do not use it for several consecutive weeks.
Recharging the In&box
The In&box is recharged using the Micro USB or USB-C cablebox as well as a USB charger (not supplied). The approximate charging time is 2 to 3 hours. The In&box can also be charged with an external battery or cigarette lighter. However, charging will be slightly longer.
Here are the technical specifications regarding recharging the In&box:
Electrical characteristics: Input: 5 V 2 A
Restriction due to altitude: At an altitude above 2000 m, make sure that the charger is validated for this altitude before recharging the In&box.
Battery replacement: Do not attempt to replace the In&box battery yourself, as you may damage the battery and cause overheating, fire, and injury. The In&box’s Li-polymer battery must be replaced or recycled by In&motion: it must be recycled or disposed of separately from household waste and must be disposed of in accordance with applicable local laws and regulations.
How to optimize your battery?
Depending on your use, it is recommended to turn off the In&box by performing a double click on the central button, rather than using the app or leaving the device in inactive standby.
In fact, inactive standby corresponds to prolonged standby and may result in a battery consumption of 2 to 3% per day. This loss is normal.
Several days without using the In&box
If you return home and are not going to use the In&box for many hours or even several days, it is advisable to turn it off using the central button.
This method helps limit battery loss.
A few hours without using the In&box
During a break while riding a motorcycle (a few minutes or a few hours), if you do not want to remove the In&box from your airbag, you can turn it off via the app.
This solution is more convenient, but it results in slightly higher battery consumption.
A few minutes without using the In&box
If you do not move for a few minutes, the In&box automatically goes into standby.
In this case as well, a slight battery loss may be observed.
