What are the differences between the In&motion airbag modules?

In&motion airbags are available with several modules suited to different uses: 

• Origin

• Essential 

• Performance 

Each airbag model includes a specific module, which differs in terms of comfort, protection zones, activity and type of use (road, sport or versatile).

To find out which module is integrated into your airbag product, consult your airbag's user manual or search for your model on the “Equipped products” page for motorcycling, horse riding, or urban mobility.

Module overview

Origin (IMS motorcycle 1) 

• Use: all types of use, mainly road riding.

• Protection: chest, abdomen, back and neck (same as Essential).

• Number of inflations: guaranteed for 3 inflations before servicing.

• Features:

  • Based on road trauma research.

  • Good balance between protection and comfort.

  • Recommended for road riding because of the proximity of urban furniture or other vehicles, but also effective for occasional sports use.

Essential (IMS motorcycle 2/ IMS HR 2) 

• Use: all types of use, mainly road riding.

• Protection: chest, abdomen, back and neck (same as Origin).

• Number of inflations: guaranteed for 5 inflations before servicing (sometimes up to 8 depending on your model).

• Features:

  • Based on road trauma research.

  • An evolution of the Origin module.

  • More breathable, lighter and more comfortable.

  • Recommended for road riding because of the proximity of urban furniture or other vehicles, but also effective for occasional sports use.

Performance (IMS motorcycle 3)

• Use: designed for intensive sports use (track, adventure, off-road).

• Protection: chest, neck, back, ribs and shoulders (⚠️ abdomen not covered).

• Number of inflations: guaranteed for 5 inflations before servicing.

• Features:

  • Adapted from competition use.

  • Covers areas suited to frequent side impacts.

  • Ideal for the track or off-road use, where urban furniture is not a risk.
