Is my airbag product compatible with 3-wheel motorcycles? (3-wheel scooters, Can‑Am, trikes)

Three-wheeled vehicles are increasingly appealing to riders seeking stability and comfort, whether it’s three-wheeled scooters, Can‑Am models, or trikes.
But one question often comes up among motorcyclists:
"Can I use my airbag vest on a three-wheeled vehicle?"
The answer depends on the type of vehicle and its dynamic behavior.

✅ Compatible

• 3-Wheel Scooters: 

Three-wheeled scooters like the Piaggio MP3, Yamaha Tricity, or Peugeot Metropolis are designed to lean into corners, just like a conventional motorcycle. The Yamaha Niken also falls into this category.

🔍 Why is this important?
Our airbag vests are equipped with intelligent detection algorithms, calibrated to recognize the dynamic behaviors of a motorcycle or scooter: leaning, acceleration, hard braking, and loss of traction.
Our vests are fully compatible with leaning 3-wheel scooters. They will accurately detect a fall or loss of control.

❌ Incompatible

• 3-Wheel Can-Am: 

Three-wheeled vehicles like the Can-Am Spyder, ryker, or Canyon are special cases: they have two wheels at the front and one at the rear, but they do not lean into corners like a scooter or motorcycle.

The behavior of a 3-wheel Can-Am is closer to that of an ATV than a motorcycle. It does not lean, and the signals generated during cornering or braking do not match the standard patterns anticipated by our algorithms.
We cannot guarantee the proper functioning of the airbag vest on a 3-wheel Can-Am. Deployment may not occur in the event of loss of control or a rollover.

• Rigid Trikes:

Trikes, whether configured with two wheels at the rear or two wheels at the front, are also rigid. Like the 3-wheel Can-Am, they do not lean into corners.

This means that the detection algorithms may misinterpret movements or fail to recognize a dangerous situation.
We do not recommend using our airbag vests on Trikes, as deployment conditions cannot be guaranteed.
