Before you can activate the Liberty Rider emergency call feature, please make sure to perform the update of your In&box and your My In&box application via Google Play (Android) or the Apple Store (iOS).
How to benefit from the emergency call?
First of all, this feature is available only for In&members with French, French-speaking Belgian, and Italian phone numbers.
About your membership:
Depending on the In&motion offer you selected when you joined, you will have different access to the Liberty Rider emergency call integrated into the My In&box application.
- If you chose the Revolution plan (annual or monthly rental of the In&box): you can benefit from this new improvement for free through a simple update of the In&box and your My In&box application.
- If you chose the Classic plan (purchase of the In&box): the "Emergency Call" feature will then be an option. You will need to subscribe to it from your user space. You will also need to perform an update of the In&box and your My In&box application.
How to activate the emergency call?
Below you will find the steps to follow to activate the emergency call via your My In&box application:
- Go to the dashboard of your My In&box application and click on the "Liberty Rider" section.
- You can then "Activate" the Liberty Rider emergency call and follow the various setup steps.
- Enter your phone number, i.e., the phone on which the My In&box app is installed, and then save. Note that this phone number will allow IMA to contact you in case of a fall, so it is important that it is your mobile phone number and that you use it during your trips. The phone number must be a French, Belgian, or Italian number.
- Click on each line that appears in red and grant the requested permissions. For the proper functioning of the emergency call, it is essential to grant all these permissions.
- Always allow the My In&box app to access your device's location.
- Click on "Activate".
You now have access to the Liberty Rider emergency call.
What are the practices to avoid for the emergency call to work properly?
- Do not log out of your user account on the My In&box app.
- Do not disable Bluetooth on your phone.
- Do not disable location services on your phone for the My In&box app.
- Do not set your phone to battery saver mode.
- Do not disable background data usage.
- Do not ride in a country not covered by the Liberty Rider feature.
- Do not ride in a detection mode not covered by the Liberty Rider feature (Track mode).
- Ensure your In&box and/or phone battery is not too low before hitting the road.
How to deactivate the emergency call?
If you wish to deactivate (temporarily or otherwise) the feature, simply go to the dashboard of your My In&box application and click on the “Emergency Call” tile. You can then deactivate or reactivate the feature.
Is it possible to cancel the emergency call?
You can cancel the emergency call feature if you chose the Classic plan (purchase of the In&box) and also selected the emergency call option. If you chose the Revolution plan (rental of the In&box), the emergency call is included.
If you are on the Classic plan and wish to cancel the emergency call, you can notify your cancellation request via the contact form. Your cancellation will be processed upon receipt of your email by customer service. If you are on the Revolution plan, you simply need to deactivate the feature directly on your application.
