How to know when a new update is available?
In case of a significant update, you will be notified directly by email, with a detailed description of its content. A notification will appear when you start your application. Additionally, a notification in the "Update" tab will appear on your mobile app My In&box dashboard, and the tab, as well as the main tab, will turn yellow.
How to download updates for the In&box via the My In&box mobile app?
If you have an In&box with a version prior to Galibier (5.3.0), updating via the app is not possible. In this case, a Wi-Fi update will allow you to benefit from the latest version of the software contained in your In&box.
Before updating, make sure to check the Apple Store or Google Play to see if your "My In&box" app is up to date.
Here are the steps to follow:
- Remove the In&box from your airbag vest.
- Turn on the In&box and make sure it is not plugged in.
- Open the My In&box app on your smartphone or tablet (available on iOS or Android).
- An "In&box Update" tab will open automatically; click on the "Update" button.
- Your phone will then ask for permission to connect to your In&box, first click on "Install" and then on "Join" (this request may vary depending on your smartphone).
- The update will start, and the In&box will flash blue during the installation. This may take a few minutes.
- Once the update is complete, the In&box will emit a sound and flash green to indicate that the installation was successful.
- The LEDs on the In&box will return to their normal state (red inflator LED and off GPS LED) after a few seconds, indicating that it is operational again.
- You can verify that the update was successful directly on the My In&box app. On your dashboard, the "Update" tab that had turned yellow to indicate a new update was available, will turn gray again if the latest software version has been installed. Additionally, the "an update is available" notification in the main tab will disappear.
- Insert your In&box back into your airbag vest, and the inflator LED will emit a green light, indicating that your airbag is ready to be used.
IMPORTANT: To continue syncing your riding data, it is important to connect the In&box to your Wi-Fi access point regularly (at least once a month).
How to manually download updates for the In&box?
To download an update on your In&box, you first need to configure your Wi-Fi access point.
Once your Wi-Fi access point is configured, updates will be automatically downloaded when your In&box is plugged into a power outlet near your internet router.
- Turn on the In&box.
- Plug it in near your Wi-Fi access point using the provided USB cable and a charger (not provided). Make sure to plug it into a wall outlet, not a USB port.
- The two upper LEDs will flash blue alternately: the In&box is searching for Wi-Fi.
- The two upper LEDs will flash blue simultaneously: synchronization and/or updating is in progress.
- The update will occur at the appropriate time: either by leaving your In&box plugged in or when you unplug it. At this time, the two upper LEDs will flash simultaneously in blue more rapidly. An update can take up to 2 minutes.
Note: The In&box can be unplugged at any time, but be sure not to turn it off using the side switch when the two upper LEDs are blue.
