Depending on the model of your vest, the recharge is not replaced in the same way:
- Replace the Recharge of My Horse Pilot TWIST'AIR Vest
- Replace the Recharge of My Horse Pilot AIR VEST V.1
Horse Pilot TWIST’AIR Vest
Before You Start
- Always replace the recharge in a clean environment.
- Never place your fingers near the pistons.
Remove the Recharge
To begin, lay your vest flat in front of you. For a better grip, we suggest placing the trigger in the direction indicated on the diagram.
Using your thumb and index finger, slide the 2 latches downward by a few millimeters (you will feel resistance when the latches are lowered).
While keeping the 2 latches in the lowered position, place your free hand under the recharge and your thumb on the trigger (as indicated in the diagram). Leveraging your thumb, lift the recharge towards you to remove it.
⚠ WARNING: Do not pull the recharge in the direction indicated in the diagram.
Unscrew the Cap
Using the Allen key located at the back of the trigger, unscrew the cap until you see the “STOP” and stop before the red marking appears.
If the red marking appears, screw the cap back a bit until it is no longer visible.
To recharge your airbag, you need to reposition the piston that was used to pierce the gas cartridges of the recharge.
Push the piston using the Allen key (provided at the back of the trigger) until the hole in the piston aligns with the hole in the trigger.
⚠ WARNING: Make sure the piston hole is metallic. If the hole is black, it means the piston has not been fully lowered.
⚠ WARNING: The piston may have turned. If the piston hole is not visible, use the Allen key to align the piston.
Install the Pin
Insert the trigger pin into the hole in the piston, ensuring it is well seated.
While keeping the pin pressed with your thumb, screw the cap until the cap's arrow aligns with the trigger's arrow.
⚠ WARNING: Ensure the pin remains pressed while you screw the cap back on.
Replace the Recharge
Insert the new recharge by clipping it onto the trigger. Then, put the elastic band back in place to hold it.
⚠ WARNING: You know the recharge is correctly positioned when you hear a small "click."
